  1. Can I work in Malta if I do not have Registration and Licence to practise?
    It is a criminal offence to work as a Medical Practitioner or Dental Surgeon in the Republic of Malta, without holding registration with the Medical Council.

  3. Do I have to submit all the documentation requested on the application form?
    Yes, it is mandatory to submit all the documents requested on the application.
  4. What are the language requirements to register in Malta?
    Language proficiency is required for those professionals sitting for the Medical Council Malta Statutory Exam (MCMSE). International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic with a global band score of 8 and not less than 7 in the individual examination components; Or Occupational English Test for Medicine (OET Medicine) with a Level B in all components of the test.

  6. How do I apply for a letter of Intent?

  7. What are the Medical Council Fees?
    As per L.N 330 of 2006, Health Care Professions Act (Chap 464), Medical Council (Fees) Regulations, 2006, as amended by S.L.464.11, as amended by Acticle 170 of Act No XIII of 2015, 'Budget Measures Implementation Act' (English Version) fee are as follows:
    in respect of every new registration in the Medical Registers: Medical, Dental, Specialist and Provisional €51.30
    in respect of an annual retention fee in the Medical or Dental Register €38.50
    in respect on an annual retention fee in each of the Specialist Registers €51.30
    for every certificate issued to a medical practitioner or dental surgeon €12.90
    for every complete exam or part thereof as prescribed €1,218.20
